Ruth Horton Williams, of Sheridan, was born September 1, 1919 at Oden, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Chester and Rellie Maude Strain Horton. She died, Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Hot Springs County Hospital in Malvern, Arkansas at the age of 85 years. She was retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal where she was a payroll clerk; a member of North Main Baptist Church at Sheridan; a member of the Martha Sunday School Class; was active in Senior Citizens and loved to fish. She was preceded in death by a brother, Verlon Horton.

Survivors: Husband, James C. Williams of the home;
Son: Travis Cason of Oregon;
Brothers : Wallace Horton and Carl Horton, both of Sheridan; and Harold Horton of Guam.
Sisters: Nancy Mabel Walker of Dallas, Texas;
Mary Cotton of Sheridan, Arkansas.
