IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra "Sandy"
Ebbs Lunsford
June 23, 1951 – June 6, 2022
Sandra Ann Lunsford was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a niece, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Born on June 23, 1951 to Joe Ebbs and Helen Moss-Beasley, Sandy was a sister to Danny Ebbs of Sherwood, Jerry Ebbs (wife, Sherry Ebbs) of Mabelvale, Michael Ebbs (wife, Beth Ebbs) of Benton, and Samantha Lester (husband, Dwayne Lester) of Sheridan. On December 19th, 1969, she married her hunny, James Lunsford of Sheridan. Shortly after, they had their first daughter, Jeannie Lynn Lunsford-Reynolds (husband, David Reynolds), followed by their son James Allen Lunsford Jr., both of Sheridan.
Starting in December of 1994, her true calling was discovered: being a nana. She loved her four granddaughters: Jordan Reynolds of Sheridan, Madison Whiting (husband, Trentt Whiting) of Des Arc, Karli Lunsford of Sheridan, and Lauren Reynolds of Sheridan. From riding around on the golf cart and playing Super Mario Sunshine to going to the Disney Store and spoiling them on a daily basis, her granddaughters were her life.
It's easy to count nana out as just being a grandmother, but she was much more than that. She was a shoulder to cry on, a constant rock, and a second mother to her four girls. She loved her scratch-offs and sunflowers, her banana popsicles and online Bingo, and her Nintendo and nana duties.
At her request, her last night on earth was spent having a sleepover with her four granddaughters, where she could hear them laughing and reminiscing on how great of a nana she was. She died peacefully on June 6th, 2022, to be reunited with her parents, her beloved daughter and to meet the Savior she spent her whole life pursuing.
She leaves behind her hunny, her son, her granddaughters, her sister and brothers, some of her favorites (Uncle Gary and Aunt Virginia), countless nieces and nephews, and five granddogs: Axel, Kash, Khaleesi, Kona, and Mose who will miss her sneaking treats to them.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Memorial Gardens cemetery in Sheridan (The entrance road next to Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 1403 West Center). There will be no visitation.
