Sandra Ruth Rector Goodman of Leola, Arkansas was born September 1, 1946 at Birlington, Washington. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Leola, had formerly worked for the Arkansas Department of Health and for the Arkansas State Library. She enjoyed crocheting, singing, playing her accordion and cooking.

Mrs. Goodman died, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at her home in Leola at the age of 63.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Ron Goodman of Leola; Sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Vickie Goodman and Nathan and Vickie Goodman, all of Poyen, and David and Dana Goodman of Arkadelphia; Daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and David Mayfield of Van Buren; Parents, Irma and David Rector of Jacksonville; Grandchildren: Nicole, Stephanie, Hannah, Daniel, Emma, Rachel, Michael, and Angel; Great Grandchildren, Elisabeth, Elivia, Andrew, and James; Brothers, Darryl and wife Sara Rector of Athens, Tennessee and Paul and wife Gayla Rector of Cabot; Sister, Elizabeth and husband Rick Nelson of Bigelow; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Faith Assembly of God Church in Leola with Bro. Wallace Simmons and Bro. Johnie Brewster officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Board Camp Cemetery, near Mena, Arkansas. There will be no visitation.
