Obituary

Sara Beth Clement Stevens of Grapevine, Arkansas was born on January 26, 1935.  She was the beloved wife of the late Willis Monroe Stevens, Jr. MD and the only child of the late Mathie Iverson Clement and Saphronia Eunice Bradford Clement.   Beth was a member of First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado, Arkansas, and spent her life making a home for her family.

She graduated top of her class of 5 at Grapevine High School, and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She became the first Water Quality Tester for the State of Arkansas.

Beth and Willis met at an afternoon tea, while Willis was in Medical School, and began a 3 year courtship.  They married February 25, 1960.  They traveled through life together, negotiating the good and the bad times, until Willis died on February 23, 2015.   Sara Beth then, due to the excellent care of devoted caregivers, remained at home till she died on March 3, 2022.

Her children are Kirsten Stevens Clement of Grapevine, Annalisa and Joe Wood of Mabelvale, AR, and Willis M. Stevens, III of Urbana, AR.   She was Honey to her five grandchildren, Ethan M. Clement, Mikah M. Clement, Noah I. Wood, Luke D. Wood, and Henlea E. Stevens.
