Selus Junior "Hawker" Harris of Poyen, Arkansas was born August 23, 1933 in Casa, Arkansas, the son of the late Elmer C. and Mittie Blankenship Harris. He was a member of Poyen Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, and spending time with his family.

Hawker died Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his home at the age of 91.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Harris; 6 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Survivors: wife and best friend of 59 years, Margaret Sides Harris of Poyen; son, Robert Harris (Jackie) of Sheridan; daughter, Tammy New (David) of Sheridan; sister, Ruby Harris Rankin of Perryville; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild and a host of extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Kiesler and Bro. Tommy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation is Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P. M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
