Sharon Marie Forte Mills Mathews of Little Rock, Arkansas was born September 12, 1943 at Searcy, the daughter of the late Carthel Dean and Wanoka Louise Williams Forte. She was a member of Sandstone Church of Christ and most recently worked at Hobby Lobby. Sharon enjoyed bowling and dancing but her greatest joy came from being "Nanny" to her grandkids and making memories with her family.

Mrs. Mathews died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at U.A.M.S. Medical Center at the age of 63. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Dale Mathews.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Bobby and Loretta Mills of Sheridan, David and Jaime' Mills of East End, Jerry and Kathy Mills of East End; Daughter: Balenda Metzger of Bauxite; Sisters: Charlotte Rhode of Little Rock and Jodi McAnear of Heber Springs; Grandchildren: Lyndsey Mills, Landon Mills, Hunter Mills, Kaelyn Mills, Brittany Metzger, and Justin Metzger. She is also survived by numerous other family members and a host of loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel at Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery near Beebe. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Landon Mills, Hunter Mills, and Justin Metzger who are Grandsons and John Williams, Wayne Valentine and Brian Taylor who are "Sons of the Heart". Honorary pallbearers are Sharon's dear friends: Willie Carter, David Holloway, Joe Brewer, Tommy Tucker, Billy Morrison, Darvin McAnear and Scott Foster.
