Sharon Ann Peacock

Sharon Ann Hester Peacock of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 1, 1954 in Pine Bluff, the daughter of the late Henry G. and Ruby Jones Hester. She was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church but had been attending East Union Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sitting on her porch, and mowing her yard. She also loved being with her family and going to eat at the Cracker Barrel.

Sharon died Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock at the age of 72.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Peacock; brothers, William P. “Bud” Hester, Irvin Eugene Hester; sisters, Josephine Beard, Bonnie Winningham and Norma Culpepper.

Survivors: son, B.J. McKenzie (Amanda) of Sheridan; daughter, Amy Motes (Joshua) of Hensley; sisters, Imogene Taylor and Dortha McClelland both of Sheridan; aunt, Shelda Austin of Sheridan and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday, July 20, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00 until service time.
