Sharon Kathryn Mitchell Tarkington of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 3, 1938 at England, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Jesse and Inez Gwen Mitchell. Before her health declined, she attended Hardin Baptist Church, and was a retired machine operator. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Mrs. Tarkington died Monday, August 5, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, in Pine Bluff, at the age of 80. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Tarkington.

Survivors include her son, Mike Tarkington of Sheridan; daughter, Sharon "Sherry" Lynn Holleman of Pine Bluff; granddaughter, Katelyn Tarkington.

At Mrs. Tarkington's request, no services will be held.
