Sheri Renee Umholtz

Sheri Renee Umholtz of Sheridan died June 4, 2026. This Christian woman lived 59 years.

Born Jan. 5, 1967 in Little Rock to Gale and Jo Umholtz, Sheri grew up in Greeley, Colorado with brothers L.D. and Lawton and graduated from Greeley Central High School. She moved to Sheridan, attended Providence Baptist Church, and studied social work at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Sheri loved crocheting, giving gifts, cuddling with cats, listening to mystery and suspense audio books, and singing. She worked 30 years as an administrative specialist for the Arkansas Department of Education.

Survivors include brother Lawton Umholtz of Mobile, Alabama; daughters Marissa Davis of Little Rock and Lauren Davis of Sheridan, son Kyle Davis of Benton, and two grandchildren.

Visitation is from 3-5 p.m. June 9 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or Women & Children First.
