Stacey Lin Donoho Meeker,45, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 10, 1971 on Midway Island, and grew up in Hawaii. In August of 1989, she proudly joined the United States Navy following in her father's footsteps. She served her country with dignity and honor. She retired in 2011 as US Navy Chief Career Counselor having served in Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Her retired life was spent rescuing, fostering, and loving their 4 legged furry doggie kids and spending time with her family and her "Navy family".
Stacey passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 to her eternal home free of pain.
She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Donoho, Jr., her paternal grandparents, William and Doris Donoho, maternal grandparents, Laurie Ogilvie and Pauline Stephens and her little doggie, Scrappie Doo.
Survivors: husband, Chris Meeker of Sheridan; son, Tyler Welter of Sheridan; daughter, Sierra Welter of Tulsa, Ok; mother, Lou Donoho of Sheridan; sisters, Pam and husband Ken Wicker of Sheridan, Paula Donoho of Plainfield, Illinois; step-daughter, Gabby Meeker of California; one granddaughter, Jacquelin Ruby Carroll and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
A private service will be held at a later date.
