Ruth Estella (Stella) Hankins Cearley,100, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Sheridan, Arkansas. She was born October 5, 1904 in Cleveland County, the daughter of the late Carter and Katie Reed Hankins.

She was a member of Sheridan First Baptist Church, Fidelis Sunday School Class, and Primetimers.

Stella deeply loved and was devoted to her family and church. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading and playing bridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto P. Cearley; daughter, Cathryn Cearley; five sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by Daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Charles Whitworth of Sheridan;
Grandson, Charles Whitworth, Jr. And wife Lisa of Hot Springs; Granddaughters, Marla and husband Mike Moore of Sheridan,
Sharla and husband Ed Dunigan of Sheridan
Seven great grandchildren, Aundrea, Lauren and Haley Whitworth; Whitney, Landon and Sarah Moore and Sawyer Dunigan.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Pallbearers will be Charles Whitworth, Jr., Ed Dunigan, Mike Moore, Sawyer Dunigan, Landon Moore and George Hatch.
