Mast
September 5, 1931 – March 25, 2024
Stella May Mast was born September 5, 1931 in Hockerville, Oklahoma to the late Fogal and Alice Rickman. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family on March 25, 2024 at the age of 92. Although she loved to travel, Stella spent most of her adult life in Orange, TX where she was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Orange. In addition to her parents Stella was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Mast Jr., brothers Daryl and Joe Rickman and sister Betty Kirkendell.
She was a skilled homemaker and was known to be a great cook and baker, as well as a talented seamstress, gardener, and enjoyed crafting, doing jigsaw puzzles and other arts. Mrs. Mast was always one to volunteer and would often help in local elections as a precinct judge as well as spending many years volunteering with the Red Cross. She was also a well-versed traveler and spent many years traveling the country on tour buses.
Stella is survived by her son Tom (Tammy) Mast of Springfield, Mo, daughters Peggy Parsons of Sheridan and Susan Martin of Huntsville, AL, grandchildren Kellen (Amanda) Mast, Jacoby Mast, Shannon (Nikki) Martin, Logan Martin, Stephanie Parsons, Sam (Erin) Parsons, Robby (Holly) Parsons, greatgrandchildren, Brynlee Mast, Adelynn Mast, Conner, Mavrick, and Logan Martin, Ella and Gus Parsons, Brandt and Kassidy Gillette, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family wants to give a special thank you to Baptist Hospice care for their assistance and professionalism.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Orange, TX
