Lavina Sue Laws Carlton of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 22, 1935 in Ashville, North Carolina, the daughter of the late William and Lucille Campbell Laws. She was a member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crocheting, as well as making desserts, cooking and canning.

Ms. Carlton died Friday, December 6, 2019 at Encore Healthcare and Rehab in Malvern at the age of 84.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Autry D. "Carl" Carlton, Sr.; brothers, D'Arcy Jones, Bernie Jones, Jr.; her step-father, Bernie Jones; great grandson, Cody Simmons and a special "son", Bobby Watson.

Survivors: son, Autry Dale Carlton, Jr. of Benton; daughters, Chyrl and husband Dana Humphrey of Jacksonville, Sondra and husband Bobby Green of Sheridan, Cheree Carlton and Lynn Cavanaugh of Little Rock, Annette and husband Howard Pearson of Greenbrier; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00-1:45P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Bobby Green, Howard Pearson, Dana Humphrey, James Carlton, Jeff Carlton and Michael Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
