Susan Elmore "Susie" Saia, 73, of Sheridan, AR died on March 6, 2025.
Susie was born February 24, 1952, in Fayetteville, AR to David Truman Elmore and Blanche (Barry) Elmore. After graduating from Fayetteville High School (class of 1970) she attended the University of Arkansas where she met the love of her life, Joseph L. "Joe" Saia. Joe and Susie were married September 2, 1972, in Fayetteville, AR. Susie was the office manager for their accounting business for 26 years in Pine Bluff until they retired and moved to Sheridan. Susie was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church of Sheridan. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends, working in her yard, and loving her fur babies.
Susie was preceded in death aby her parents, David Truman Elmore and Blanche (Barry) Elmore and niece Jamie Elliott.
She is survived by her husband Joe, sisters Diane Elliott (Jay) of Springdale, AR, Constance (Connie) Miller of Goshen, AR; niece Ginger Elliott Wynboom of Johnson, AR, nephew David R Miller (Quinnlan) of Humble, TX, niece Julie Renee Newman of Elkins, AR, nephew Steven Cohn of Phoenix, AZ, niece Mary (Cohn) Buchanan (Greg) of League City, TX, and nephew James Cohn of League City, TX, and a host of grand nieces and nephews, special friends that have become family, and chosen granddaughters Alondra Villa and Alejandra Villa.
Visitation and Rosary will be held Friday March 14, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan, AR. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday March 15, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Sheridan, AR.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society at 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd, Little Rock, AR 72210 or to a charity of your choice.
