Obituary

T.E. McLillie of Prattsville, Arkansas was born March 13, 1931 at Burlison, Tennessee, the son of the late George Edward and Annie Grace Cox McLillie. He was of the Church of Christ faith, was a United States Army Korean war veteran and was a retired bricklayer and truck driver. T.E. loved motorcycles and working on small engines, as well as building and creating things. He had a great love for music and was a skilled guitar player and also enjoyed the outdoors and taking trips to the ocean and mountains. T.E. was a people person, and his gentle spirit and zest for life touched so many during the years, and he leaves behind a rich legacy of character and integrity.

Mr. McLillie died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock at the age of 80 after a year-long battle with parkinsons and alzheimers.

Survivors include his sons, David McLillie of Prattsville and Michael McLillie of Hot Springs; daughter, Sherry Highsmith of Prattsville; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
