Teri Lashiel Mitchell of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 9, 1960 at Batesville, Arkansas, the daughter of Eleanor Chambers Mitchell and the late O.D. Mitchell. She was a 1978 graduate of Sheridan High School,had graduated from Arkansas State University at Fayetteville with a Bachelors in Business and also served in the United States Navy for 5 years, and the Naval Reserves following that. She worked for Arkansas Workforce in Benton, enjoyed photography and loved animals, which led her to be a supporter of the Humane Society.

Teri died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at her home near Sheridan, at the age of 51.

Survivors include her mother, Eleanor Chambers Mitchell of Sheridan; brother, Steven Mitchell and wife Lesa of Mountain View; sister, Toni Mitchell Poindexter and husband Dan of Little Rock; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
