IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Earl
Barnard, Sr.
January 5, 1941 – April 13, 2022
Thomas Earl "Tom" Barnard, Sr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 5, 1941 at Mayflower, Arkansas, the son of the late Roy and Gladys Roberts Barnard. Tom had a true servant's heart. He served his country in the United States Navy. Tom's career path led him into law enforcement, and since beginning in 1973, he worked with Little Rock Police Department, Saline County Sheriff's Office, and Grant County Sheriff's Office. Tom was an old school lawman. He proudly wore his badge to serve his community, to keep them safe, and to help them maintain a better environment to raise their families in. He showed no favorites, he was fair to everyone. He took his job seriously and would put himself in harms way in a moment when duty called. He had a sincere smile and a huge heart - he would open up his heart and his home to anyone in need. When not working, he enjoyed spending time at deer camp, and doing anything that involved his family. He was a proud Dad to his kids and Papaw to his grandkids and great grandkids. He was also known as "Dad" by many others.
Mr. Barnard died Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at his home, at the age of 81. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Jo Barnard, and two of his brothers, J.R. Barnard and Gary Barnard and a younger sister, Lorene.
