Thomas O'Steen of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 26, 1926 in Buda, Texas, the son of the late Thomas W. and Birdie Thames O'Steen. He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church near Sheridan where he served as deacon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and playing dominoes.

Mr. O'Steen died Friday, July 6, 2012 at John L. McClellan VA Hospital Hospice Unit in Little Rock at the age of 86.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel "Dude" O'Steen and a grandson, Scott O'Steen.

Survivors: Sons, Eddie and wife Charlotte O'Steen of Sheridan;
Garry and wife Vicki O'Steen of Sheridan; sister, Bonnie Boon and husband Elmer of Mobile, Alabama; 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton and Bro. Gale Umholz officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be Saturday, 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
