Todd Franklin Edwards, age 61, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, at his parents’ home in Prattsville, Arkansas.
Born on February 6, 1965, in Malvern, Arkansas, Todd was the cherished son of Johnny Edwards and Lois Stuckey Edwards of Prattsville. Raised by hardworking and devoted parents, he learned the value of dedication and perseverance at an early age—qualities that remained with him throughout his life.
Todd worked for Jerry Mosley at Mosley Farms for more than 10 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was known as one of the best in the business, taking great pride in his work and earning the respect of everyone who worked alongside him. He enjoyed teaching his son, Josh, and others the skills of the trade, though few could ever match his talent behind the controls.
Todd was a man of simple pleasures. He loved hunting, fishing, and operating heavy equipment, but nothing brought him greater joy than his family. His favorite pastime was playing with and teasing his grandsons, whom he proudly bragged about to anyone who would listen. He loved to tell people, “I have a 10-year-old and a 5-year-old. The 10-year-old wants to go to the moon, and the 5-year-old wants to shoot it down.” That story always brought a smile to his face because he was incredibly proud of them.
Todd’s legacy is one of love, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was blessed with a large family who loved him deeply, and his memory will live on in each of them.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his nephew, Alston.
Todd is survived by his parents, Johnny and Lois Edwards of Prattsville; his two sons, Joshua Edwards (Lindsey) of Prattsville and Troy Buie of Texas; his beloved grandsons, Cash Edwards and Carter Edwards, whom he truly believed “hung the moon”; his brothers, Tim Edwards and Tate Edwards; his nieces, Amber Freeman (Travis), Harper Edwards, Lillie Edwards, and Hannah Edwards; his nephews, Anthony Edwards (Leah), Andrew Edwards (Amber), and Mason Edwards; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kayleb, Kadience, Clyde, Hudson, Judge, Reed, Luke, Waylon, and Anniston.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2026 at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist with Bro. Neal Hollinger and Bro. Don Goodman officiating. Visitation: 10:00 until service time. Burial will be in at Philadelphia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Anthony Edwards, Andrew Edwards, Jody Bailey, David Bailey, Phillip Crutchfield, David Lee Bailey, Dustin Bailey, Travis Freeman, and Kayleb Freeman.
Honorary pallbearers: Alston Edwards, Shawn Bailey, Mason Edwards, and Dion Williams.
