James T. "Tommy" Hope of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 12, 1945 at Prattsville, Arkansas, the son of the late James Welford and Floy Lee Holiman Hope. He was a graduate of Prattsville High School and was of the Baptist faith. Tommy was a skilled craftsman. He had a talent for carpentry and was known for being a cabinet builder.
Mr. Hope died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his home in Sheridan, at the age of 70. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Lee Benning.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Diane Harper Hope; daughters, Leigha Karmin Treadwell and Trena Delaine Bruner (Mike); grandchildren, Ashleigh Nordin (Chris), Autumn Clark, Hannah Bruner; great grandson, Drake Edward Nordin, all of Sheridan; sister, Yvonne Beauregard of Bauxite; a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Vernon Bass and Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Dustin Harper, John Ryan House, Trent Harper, Daniel Harper, Zack Doan, Shane Fite, Todd Fite and Mark Beauregard.
The family would like to thank Tommy's CARTI and Hospice families for the care, compassion and love they gave him and also a special thanks to all his friends for coming to visit him. It meant so much.
