Obituary

Tresia McCool Mooney of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 2, 1931 in Sheridan, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Lee B. and Allie Mae Morris McCool. She was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and mowing which she said was her "therapy".

Ms. Mooney died Monday, May 4, 2020 in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the age of 88.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Beckham.

Survivors: son, Gene Mooney (Brenda Cox) of Hot Springs; long-time companion and caraegiver, Dene Crosby of Sheridan; brothers, Curtis (Daisy) McCool of Atlanta, Texas, David (Kaye) McCool of Okeechobee, Florida, Ken (Verlan) McCool of Sheridan; sister, Marie Gordon of Sheridan; granddaughter, Jennifer (Brock) Lyons of Hot Springs; 2 great grandchildren, Asher and Griffin Lyons of Hot Springs and a host of extended family members, church family and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Bro. Kenneth Click and Bro. Doyle Caldwell officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Pallbearers are Rod Rhodes, Larry Drake, Danny Allen, Clifton Crosby, Rodney White, and Brock Lyons. Honorary pallbearers are the staff members of Arkansas Hospice.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Arkansas Hospice for the love and care shown to Tresia.
