Obituary

Troy Guenther of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born October 23, 1936 in De Valls Bluff, Arkansas, the son of the late Benjamin and Bonnie Guenther. He attended school at Idle Wild in Hazen, Arkansas. He was a retired employee of Cotton Belt Southern Pacific Railroad. He was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at Southside Baptist Church in Pine Bluff in 1978.

Troy dedicated his life to his family. Hs favorite thing was spending time with his grandkids. His hobbies included spending time outdoors and traveling. You could always find him outside enjoying working on cars.

Mr. Guenther died at his home on September 29, 2020 at the age of 83.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bernice Guenther and brothers, James, Frank, Leroy, Oscar and Dale Guenther.

Survivors: wife, Claudette Ard Guenther; daughters, Vonda Staton and Alisa Johnson; sisters, Gladys Madar, Dorothy Orton, Juanita Sinks; grandchildren, Scarlett Tiffany Rhodes (Brodie), Jonathan Wallace (Courtney), Gillian Johnson; great grandchildren, Hunter Miskell, Meredith Miskell, Cohen Wallace and Chloe Wallace and a special nephew, Glen Guenther and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 2, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Watson and Bro. John Floyd Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Jefferson County. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time.
