Troy Henderson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born on April 4, 1932 in Calhoun County the son of the late William Herbert and Edna Hines Henderson. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sheridan and had retired form the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department after 35 years. He was also Secretary to the Forrest Landowners Association.

Mr. Henderson died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at the age of 75.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lanelle Morgan.

Survivors: Wife, Bonnie Atchley Henderson of Sheridan, whom he married September 20, 1952;
Daughter, Risa Groves and husband Larry of Magnolia;
Sisters, Sue Dunn of Fordyce and Lois Morgan Hubbard of Fordyce;
Brother in law, Larry Morgan of Fordyce;
Grandchild, McCall Groves;

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation: 6-7:30 PM Friday night at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Mike Mitchell, Bill Crossley, Jim Lancaster, Carlton Cummings, Tom Waller, Gary Hines, Sam Boyd, Bill Ellis and David Rawls. Honorary pallbearers are Russell Plunkett, Sherman Lites, John Mitchell, Danny Mitchell, Russell Baxter and Leon Lancaster.
