Troy Spann of Hensley, Arkansas was born October 5, 1930 at Hensley, the son of the late Jesse E. and Birdie Ball Spann. He was a member of East End Baptist Church, a Mason and member of Iron Springs Lodge #342 and was an avid hunter. Troy retired from Reynolds Metals.

Mr. Spann died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 78.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gertrude Johnson Spann of Hensley; daughter, Linda and husband Johnny Barger of Little Rock; Grandsons, Joel Spann and Matt Barger; great grandchildren, Troy, DeeDee, and Jesse Spann.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 28, 2008 at East End Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00-6:00 P.M.
