Velma Lee Reese Brown Taylor of Sheridan, Arkansas was born in Howard County, Arkansas on January 14, 1911 the daughter of the late Alfred Kimrick and Mary Francis Ball Reese. She died at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock on January 5, 2006 at the age of 94 years.

She was a member of Sheridan Church of Christ and was a retired lunchroom supervisor for the Spring Hill Arkansas School District. She was preceded in death by husband, John T. Taylor and a son, Harold Brown of McCaskill, Arkansas, and a grand-daughter, Lynn Robertson.

Survivors are a daughter, Adelia Williams of Sheridan and daughter-in-law, Laura Brown of McCaskill, Arkansas; and grand-children, Jeffrey Reese Brown of Haughton, Louisiana; Sharyl Williams of Hope, Arkansas; Donald Ray Williams of
Sheridan; Janet McVay of Sheridan,; Kimberly Turner of Sheridan and Mari Harris of Sheridan; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 7, 2006, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, Arkansas with Wallace Alexander and Joe Jones officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM Saturday afternoon in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Hope, Arkansas. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
