Vickie Dunigan Knowlton of Ore City, Texas (formerly of Fordyce, Arkansas) passed away as the result of a vehicle accident in Texas on February 14, 2023. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 11, 1956, she was the oldest child born to the late Clifford Edward Dunigan, Sr. and Mary Dunigan Sisson. After growing up most of her childhood in Sheridan, Arkansas, Vickie graduated with honors from Sheridan High School in 1974. While in high school, she was a member of the band and the school newspaper staff. Vickie also graduated from Arkansas College (Lyon College) where she received her bachelor of science in education degree in 1977. Vickie loved being a school teacher and was employed by several different school districts across the state of Arkansas during her long teaching career.

Being a devout Christian who truly had a giving servant's heart, Vickie was known to always put the interests of others over her own. She loved God and her family above everything else. She joined Hope Pentecostal Church in Sheridan as a child and attended several other churches throughout her life as she lived in different communities.

While having a special talent in this area, Vickie enjoyed baking and cake decorating. She also enjoyed crafting, especially with her grandchildren. Vickie was also an excellent cook and found great pleasure in cooking for her family. She always made sure that everyone was well-fed. Other interests she had included reading and watching Razorback sports on the television.

Vickie was preceded in death by her father, her beloved husband Dan Knowlton, and her sister-in-law Jeannie Dunigan. She is survived by her mother, her daughter, Amy Wilkerson Naugher (John) of Ore City, Texas and her son, Christopher (Chris) Wilkerson of Fordyce, Arkansas. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Allissa Buchanan of Ore City, Texas and Keeley Wilkerson, Cash Wilkerson and a special little boy, Wyatt Murrell all of Sheridan. She also leaves behind two brothers, Roger Dunigan (fiance Pam Gillespie) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Ed Dunigan (Sharla) of Sheridan, Arkansas as well as many other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
