Obituary

Victor H. Young of Prattsville, Arkansas was born December 30, 1933 in Warren, Arkansas, the son of the late Curtis Miles and Margie Lee Balentine Young. He was District Manager for Arkla Gas (Centerpoint) for over 38 years and had served in the United States Army. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville. He enjoyed doing word puzzles, woodworking, especially making bird houses, and being with his family.

Mr. Young died Monday, June 29, 2020 at Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab in Malvern at the age of 86.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Jean Knighton Young.

Survivors: daughters, Vicki (Robert) Heath of Buckville, Sherry (Robert Earl) Mooney of Prattsville; brothers, Wayne (Joann) Young of Bryant, Billy (Ruby) Young of Star City, Phil (Linda) Young of Pine Bluff; 6 grandchildren, Trey (Brittnie) Heath, Barry (Bridget) Heath, Jennifer (Alan) Gibbs, Amanda (Jason) McCall, Robby (Bethany) Mooney and PJ (Rachel) Mooney; 15 great grandchildren; Dexton, Raygan, Brinklee, Brylee, Preslee, Diggs, Nicole, Noelle (Kevin), Austin (Anna), Madeline, Kristen, Anna, Levi, Jack and Megan; 5 great great grandchildren, Mason, Norah Grace, Kensley Jane, Ellie, Evelyn, and one on the way and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville with Bro. Don Goodman officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 213 Prattsville, Arkansas 72129.
