Obituary

Virginia Roberts Baldwin of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 1, 1939 at Sheridan, the daughter of the late J.T. and Sarah Margaret Holmes Roberts. She was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was one of the original volunteers and supporters of Spirit of Sharing (SOS) store in Sheridan years ago. If you were to look up the word "Mama" in the dictionary, you'd likely find a picture of Virginia. Her big family was also her greatest joy. She was busy all the time, normally doing something for someone else. She loved and supported her husband, who was on the road driving a truck to provide for them, she raised 7 children and made sure their every need was met, she was faithful to her church and her community, and made it all look easy. She had a servant's heart, and if there was a need , and she found out about it, she was the first one to help. God gifted her with many skills, and cooking was definately one of them. She was especially known for her chicken and dressing. As busy and active as she was, you'd never see Virginia when she wasn't impeccably dressed with the perfect jewelry to match. Aside from her caring disposition and her loving heart, she had a smile that spoke volumes as to who she was. Her greatest wish was that her family always knew she loved and cherished them, and that she was their biggest cheerleader.

Mrs. Baldwin went home to be with her Jesus, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 82. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen "Al" Baldwin, daughters, Francis Madray and Pamela Wilson; and a grandson, Frank Curlie.

Survivors are her son, Thomas Bradbury (Sidney) of Germany; daughters, Rita Curlie (Charles) of Hensley, Tammy Hebert (James) of Sheridan, Jackie Bradbury (Amanda) of Sheridan, Mickey Bradbury of Sheridan, Romona Smith of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; sister, Martha Boucher of Sheridan. She was the beloved grandmother to many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren. That just proves what we already knew....She was a GREAT person!
