Wanda Marie "Kitty" Carter Brainard of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 29, 1931 in North Little Rock, the daughter of the late Simeon and Elizabeth Ballmat Carter. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a retired nurse.

Ms. Brainard died at her home on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the age of 93.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husbands, Don Waters, Dan Brainard; son, Mark Waters; brother, Simeon Carter; great granddaughter, Taylor Melancon.

Survivors: son, Mike Waters of Sheridan, Jimmy Brainard of Flippin, Dewey Brainard of Little Rock, Eric Brainard of Bentonville; daughters, Sharon Waters Aureli of Little Rock, Karen Waters Jackson of Bentonville. Mia Brainard of Cabot; sister, Elizabeth Binz of Little Rock and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Sheridan. Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home with Rosary being held at 7:00 PM Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander on Thursday at 2:00 P.M.
