Obituary

Wanda Inez Henderson Stanley of Grapevine, Ar. passed from this life at the age of 88 on August 12, 2009 at Hot Spring County Hospital in Malvern. Mrs. Stanley was born April 19, 1921 at Russellville, Arkansas to the late Paul Marvin Henderson and Bertha Mae Baker Henderson Lacy. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years at the time of his death in 1996, Jerome Samuel Stanley; by three brothers, Monty Henderson, Arthur Henderson and "Corky" Lacy; three sisters, Opal Henderson, Etoile Henderson Dunn, and Hazelle Henderson Veith; and a great-grandson, Justin Humphreys. .

Mrs. Stanley was a homemaker and was a member of Dardanelle Assembly of God Church. In her younger years, she was very active in her church and taught children's Sunday School classes when she was a member of First Assembly and Forrest Park Assemblies of God Churches in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where she was elected "Mother of the Year" many times. Mrs. Stanley was a faithful asset to her husband's ministry during several pastorates.

Survivors include seven daughters, Rosemary Stanley Parmer of Grapevine; Beverly Stanley Threlkeld of Russellville; Brenda Stanley Roberts and husband D.L. of Sheridan; Sharon Stanley Wyatt and husband Bobby of Pine Bluff; Nancy Stanley DeFoor and husband Ron of Pine Bluff; Wanda Ruth Stanley Clark and husband Kerry of Woodlawn, and Rebecca Stanley Everette and husband Roger of Dardanelle.

22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Four brothers: John Lacy of Huntsville, Alabama; Joe Paul Henderson of Clinton; Phillip Henderson of Shirley, and Jimmy Henderson of Denver, Colorado and
one sister, Sharon Lacy McKinnon of Everette, Washington and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her 12 grandsons, Jimmy Langrell, Mark Threlkeld, Jeff Threlkeld, Chris Threlkeld, Larry Fetters, Rob Wyatt, Frank DeFoor, Paul Hutcheson, David DeFoor, Phillip DeFoor, Jared Everette and Jason Everette.

Funeral Service will be 10 AM Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, Arkansas with Reverend Jim Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be at the side of her husband at Bethel Cemetery in
Russellville, Arkansas. The graveside service Saturday will be held at 3:00 P.M.
