Warren G. Hook of Mena, Arkansas, formerly of Sheridan, was born August 21, 1920 at Ratcliff, Arkansas, the son of the late Amos L. and Addie Perkins Hook. He was a World War II United States Navy Veteran, attended Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church when he lived in Sheridan, was an avid gardener and hunter and had worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal.

Mr. Hook died Monday, August 4, 2008 at Rich Mountain Nursing Home in Mena at the age of 87. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Kay Hilyard Hook.

Survivors include his son, Rocky Lyn Hook of Clinton, Montana; daughter, Kathy McGarrah of Mena, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Kenneth Click officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 1:30 -2:30 P.M. at the church prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan.
