Wayland Bernard Sligh of Prattsville, Arkansas was born May 12, 1946 in Prattsville, the son of the late Bernard and Helen Mitchell Sligh. He was of the Baptist faith and was very passionate about fishing, gardening, and playing golf.

Mr. Sligh died on Monday, February 26, 2024 in Prattsville at the age of 77.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Harold Fuell and a nephew, Randall Fuell.

Survivors: best friend, Jackie Brady of Brenham, TX; sons, Greg Sligh (Sarah) of North Carolina; Jeremy Lewis (Jackie) of Cypress, TX, Joel Lewis (Holly) of Bellville, TX; daughter, Karla Watt (Alex) of Scotland; brother, Eddie Sligh (Mary Catherine) of Little Rock: sister, Janis Fuell of Prattsville; grandchildren, Josh Hodge, Vicki Hodge, Jett, Jax, Olivia and Owen Lewis; one great grandchild, Jamie Hodge and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Don Goodman and Bro. Neal Hollinger officiating.
