Wayne Lynn Buchanan of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 13, 1934, in Prescott, the son of the late Homer Dennis and Dora Eva Williams Buchanan. He was a member of the Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church in Grapevine, had retired from International Paper Company and had served in the US Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all volunteering at the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

Mr. Buchanan died at his home on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the age of 88.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Woodson and Faye Townsend and his beloved wife of almost 65 years, Patsy Owens Buchanan.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Theresa Buchanan, Tony and Nicole Buchanan; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Ryan Woodard; grandchildren, Casey Buchanan (Tami), Bryan Woodard (Taylor), Tyler Woodard, Brady Buchanan, Gunner Walters, Paige Fisher; great grandchildren, Katelyn Buchanan, Lawson Woodard, Asher Fisher and a host of extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 9th at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Per his request, he wanted his body donated to medical science.
