Anthony Wayne Owens of Grapevine, Arkansas was born December 31, 1960 in Fordyce, Arkansas, the son of Donnie Owens and the late Frances Lou House. He was a self-employed logger, enjoyed hunting and catfishing, as well as softball, boxing and riding his motorcycle. He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club and was a member of the Harley Owners Group, "Hog".

Wayne died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Jefferson County as a result of an accident, at the age of 50.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his great uncle and aunt, Booth and Lizzie D. Owens.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 19, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Gwin and Bro. Mark Tracy officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery at Grapevine. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Roger Purifoy, Chris Womble, David Lunsford, Bobby Taylor, Jerry Gibbs, David Phillips, Kevin Owens and Dennie Buchanan.
