Wayne Valentine, Sr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 8, 1943 in Rison, the son of the late Troy D. and Lottie Mae McBryde Valentine. He was saved and baptized at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in his younger years. He also was in the National Guard for several years.

Wayne died Saturday June 5, 2021 at Baptist Heath Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 77.

He was an avid fisherman who also collected lures. He loved to cook the fish, go to yard sales, have yard sales, and take his grandchildren and great grandchildren riding in the yard on his 4-wheeler. He loved going the Jo's Diner and Hardee's every day and being a part of the "Round Table."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy D. Valentine and a grandson, Haydn Valentine, and a granddaughter, Gabriella Valentine.

Survivors: sons, Wayne Valentine, Jr. of Sheridan; Keith (Vickie) Valentine of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Troy Johnson of Oregon; daughter, Michelle (Stephen) Burrup of Sheridan; sisters, Anita (Bill) Mitchell of Sherrill, Trella Burnett of Sheridan, Carolyn (Mac) Berry of Centerton and Brenda (Tim) Stuckey of Sheridan; 14 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many great grandchildren and friends.

A time of visitation will be Friday night from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
