Cecil Wayne Taylor of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 24, 1951 in Pine Bluff, the son of the late Cecil S. and Louise Green Taylor. He was a member of Pinecrest Missionary Baptist Church and had served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his younger years, he was a coach for baseball and softball.

Wayne passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home at the age of 70.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Joe Taylor, a sister Patsy E. Todd and his daughter, Amber Dawn Taylor.

Survivors: wife Mary Joyce Taylor of Sheridan; son, Chris (Hollie) Taylor of Tumbling Shoals; brother Mike (Karen)Taylor of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Tyler (Audrey) Moss, Cammie Taylor, Keaton Ross, Kaitlyn Roberts, Michael Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Lexi Roberts; great grandchild Norah Moss and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Friendship Cemetery in Rison with Bro. Brent Williams officiating. Visitation 6:00-8:00 Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Lathunza Burns, Jerry Parker, Michael Collins, Phil Myers, Daniel Ross, and Keaton Ross. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Roberts, Michael Roberts and Tyler Moss.
