Wendy Ann Last Croy of the Orion community, near Redfield, was born September 19, 1948 at Ipswich, England, the daughter of the late Happy and Emily Smith Last.  She was happiest when she was doing for others, and one way she achieved that was cooking for years, and untold numbers of customers at Forest Tower Shell.  Her love for cooking extended far beyond work though.  She took great pleasure in cooking for her family.  In fact, she knew each one's favorite dish, and made it just for them.  Loving on her family was her greatest joy, but her animals ran a close 2nd, and in fact sometimes they may have been neck and neck.   She enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and watching any sports that the Razorbacks played.

Wendy died Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 75.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Last, and a sister, Ivy Mouser.

Survivors include her son, Darin McDonald of Sheridan; daughters, Hayley Lowrance of South Greenfield, Missouri, Leasa Freeman of Sheridan, and Nina Freeman of Malvern; brother, Graham Last; sisters, Margaret Fellingham, Pam Henry; grandchildren, Glen McDonald, Mandy Hendrix, Derrick Lowrance, Brian Royal, Sherri Byrd, Morgan Lowrance, Megan Hall, Madison Freeman, Blake Freeman, Hunter Freeman, Corbyn Freeman, Jacob Atkins, Hadley Byrd; 19 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by numerous extended family members, many friends, and of course, her animals.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Daniel Taylor officiating.  Burial will be in Orion Cemetery.  Visitation is also Tuesday, from 1:00-2:00 P.M.

Pallbearers are Jacob Atkins, Brian Royal, Paul Clement, Christian McDonald, Derek Lorance and Morgan Lorance.

Her brother Graham said, "I was always closest to my sister Wendy and losing her is a great loss.  Although we were far apart she holds a big piece of my heart.  I love her and always will until we meet again."
