Wesley Berry Griffin, Jr. of Grapevine, Arkansas was born October 26, 1971 in Osceola, Arkansas the son of Wesley Griffin, Sr. and Brenda Gail Ward Griffin.  He was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, a 1991 graduate of Sheridan High School and a member of Pate's Hunting Club. He was retired from the Sheridan Police Department as an animal control officer.

Wesley truly had a servant's heart.  He loved Grant County and proudly served on the Grapevine Fire Department as well as other local fire departments through the years. He was the first to respond anytime there was a call or a need.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his GRANDkids. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ida Griffin; grandfather, Richard Ward; great grandmother, Alice Ward; uncles, Fairlen Ward, Alvin Griffin, and Bobby Griffin; in-laws, Jimmy Herring, Sr. and Barbara Love.

Survivors: wife, Delorse Herring Griffin of Grapevine; son, Dustin (Shania) Griffin of Sheridan; daughter, Amanda Shurtz (Hayden Ferrell) of Haskell; parents, Wesley Griffin, Sr. and Brenda Griffin of Sheridan; brothers, Keith Griffin (Justin) of Benton, Kevin Griffin (Laci) of Sheridan; sister, Angela Pate (Rickey) of Sheridan; brother in law, Ira James Herring of Sheridan; 8 grandchildren, Bailey Phillips, David Howie Griffin, Kaydence Long, Layklynn Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Peyton Riggs, Haven Riggs, Walker Shurtz and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 28, 2024 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Taylor and Bro. Adam Pate officiating. Visitation will be Thursday night from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery near Grapevine.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Griffin, Kevin Griffin, Keith Griffin, Rickey Pate, Rickey Pate, Jr., Norman Stanley, David Hooks, and Larry Plunkett. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Grapevine Fire Department
