Westley Franklin Brooks of Sheridan, Arkansas (formerly of Bearden), was born February 12, 1940 in Lepanto, Arkansas, the son of the late O.B. Brooks and Pauline Prater Brooks. He was a retired truck driver.

Mr. Brooks died Monday, February 4, 2019 at Alcoa Pines Healthcare and Rehab in Benton at the age of 78.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Hopper Brooks; two sons, Bubby and Todd Brooks and a sister, Bonnie Hopper.

Survivors: sons, Robert Brooks of Bryant, Darrell (Jeanna) Brooks of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters, Kim (Bill) Whitmire of Sheridan, Andrea (Jon) Dunn of Bryant; sister, Opline Martin of Bearden; Vivian Wilson of Mabelvale; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.
