Wilene "Billie" Owens Rollon of Malvern, Arkansas was born April 13, 1933 at Prattsville, Arkansas, the daughter of William and Ocie Woods Owens. Her walk with God began when she was Saved at 12 years old in a cornfield and was later baptized in Brush Creek. She lived in the Brush Creek Community and was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church most of her life until she and her husband recently moved to Malvern where they joined Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Rollon was a retired secretary for the International Paper Company mill in Leola and had worked for many years as a secretary for an oil company in Wichita, Kansas. She enjoyed canning, sewing, and keeping up with current events.
Mrs. Rollon died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 76. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Regell Owens.
Survivors include her husband and best friend, Cecil Rollon, and her sister, Arlie Wilson, both of Malvern.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 25, 2009 at Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church (Hwy. 222 West, near Leola, Arkansas) with Bro. John Owen and Bro. Ronnie Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Pallbearers are Keith Bradley, Grady Rollon, Ted Gifford, Tommy Riggan, Norman Riggan and Eli Maynard. Honorary pallbearer is Jan Earls.
