William J. "Dub" Garner, Jr., of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born at Grapevine, Arkansas on November 12, 1924, the son of the late William Jennings Bryan Garner, Sr., and Jennie Haynie Garner. He died at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff on Friday, February 4, 2005 at the age of 80 years.
He attended First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff and was retired from the Cotton Belt Railroad in Pine Bluff where he had worked as a blacksmith. He was a member of AFL-CIO Union and the Kissie Creek Deer Club.
Survivors are his wife, Gladys Faye Brewer Garner of the home,

Funeral Services will be Monday, February 7, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, Arkansas with Reverend Gordon Topping officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery at Sheridan.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 5 PM at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be James Merritt, Jr.; James Merritt, III; Joe Huddleston; Tommy Mitchell; Steve Porter and David Casey
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
