William Dedrick "Bill" Hale of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 30, 1939 at Sheridan, the son of the late Wesley and Myrtis Flory Hale. He previously served in the United States Army National Guard and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church with his late wife, Mary. Bill was one of the owners of Triple H Electric in Sheridan. He was very active in his community for many years, including serving on the Grant County Fair Board and also serving as Constable. He enjoyed buying and tinkering with old vehicles and for many years, he spent a lot of time in the woods and on the water, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Hale died Saturday, October 4, 2025 in Little Rock, at the age of 85. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Wesley Hale, and a brother, Dan Hale.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Chanda Hale, Chris and Elizabeth Hale; daughters, Terry Ray and Kim and husband Mick Handloser, all of Sheridan; brother, Bo Hale of Hot Springs; sisters, Becky Smith of Little Rock, Brenda Adams of Rison; sister-in-law, Joann Wilcox of Jackson, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ashley Bearden, Zac Ray, Lauren Huddleston, Crystal Jordan, Rebekah Washington, Juliann Hale, Sarah Handloser, Anna Handloser, Josh Handloser; great grandchildren, Daniel Bearden, Ryan Bearden, Tucker Otwell, Will Jordan, Elijah Huddleston, Micah Huddleston, Hannah Huddleston. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, and countless numbers of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 10, 2025 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Father Joe Marconi officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, also in Sheridan. Visitation is Friday, 1:00-2:00 P.M.
