William Ray Jackson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 16, 1943, the son of the late Lonnie and Bessie Walters Jackson. He worked in lawn maintenance for over 45 years and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish any chance he could. William Ray also loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and leaves a lasting legacy with them, he will be dearly missed.

Mr. Jackson died on January 6, 2025, at the age of 81 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Raymond Jackson, sisters Lois Chamberland, and Odessa Quick and an infant sibling.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Shirley Jackson; son, Clint (Melissa) Jackson; daughters, Renee and Debra Jackson; brothers, Cleo and Jimmy Jackson, sister, Sue Brixie: grandchildren Hannah, Hayley, Tiffany, and Bradley, great grandchildren Saygan, and Mason.

Graveside service will be 9:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Jackson Cemetery near Sheridan.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cancer Foundation.
