MSGT. Ret. William E. Mooney of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 10, 1936 in Dodson, Louisiana the son of the late Hooper and Arah Elizabeth Berry Mooney. He was a MSGT. (Retired) from the U. S. Air Force and had served in Viet Nam. He was a member of Sanders United Methodist Church; a 32nd Degree Mason; Eastern Star; a member of the Scottish Rite; a Shriner; VFW; and DAV.

Mr. Mooney died Tuesday, December 14, 2009 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 73.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Williams and his sisters
Marvalene Mooney and Evelyn Waldron.

Jeffrey Hooper Mooney of Sheridan;
Daughter, Bunny Star Crockett of Madeira Beach, Florida;
Brothers, Edgar Myer Mooney of Calvin, Louisiana;
Benny Mooney of Goldonna, Louisiana;
Sister, Maxine Council of Campti, Louisiana;
7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jon Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
