William James "Woody" Woodall, Jr. of Prattsville, Arkansas, was born December 26, 1942 at Vicksburg, Mississippi, the son of the late William James "Bill" Woodall, Sr. and Bessie Greer Woodall. He was a member of Red River Baptist Church in Benton, Louisiana, and enjoyed fishing. Woody retired last year as an accountant with the Arkansas Insurance Department, where he was nicknamed "Chief" by his colleagues, each of whom were a special part of his life. He was a CFE (Certified Financial Examiner) as well as having served in the United States Army.
Mr. Woodall died Friday, October 8, 2010, at Hot Spring County Medical Center in Malvern at the age of 66.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia LeGrand Woodall of Prattsville; Daughter, Anna Woodall and husband Leo Melena of Greenbrier; Brothers, Eddie Paul and wife Tammy Woodall, Stacy Woodall, and Tim and wife Laura Woodall, all of Sheridan and Randy Woodall of Prattsville; Sister, Lynda Sue and husband Grady Gregory of Decatur, Mississippi and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. James Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery at the Crossroads community, south of Sheridan. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M.
