Willie Charles Ashley of Grapevine, Arkansas was born September 5, 1937 in the Sweet Home Community of Pulaski County. He was the son of the late Ganard Jackson Ashley and Lessie Spann Ashley. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was the founder of the A& P Hunting Club at Grapevine.

Mr. Ashley died Friday, March 18, 2016 at his home in Grapevine at the age of 78.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glen Dale Ashley, Donald Ashley and Delton Ashley and a sister, Leita Mae Pifer.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 50 years, Sally Ann Cook Ashley; sons, Billy Ray Ashley and his girlfriend, Barbara Thompson, and Charles Lee Ashley, all of Grapevine; sister, Wanda Hager of Mablevale; grandchildren, Billy Jr., Amanda, Jana, Charlie, Jr., Christy and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M . Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George Yarberry officiating. Burial will follow at Upchurch Cemetery in Little Rock. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
