Willie Mae Stover Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born on October 30, 1933 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Harvey and Elsie Stover. Willie Mae worked at West Bend and retired from Shippers, then went on to work part-time at the school cafeteria and as a Wal-Mart greeter. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and going to the casino.
Willie Mae passed away April 16, 2021 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 87. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Gene Stover, Harold D. Stover, and Buddy Stover; sister, Reba Stuckey, and husband Stanley Smith.
Survivors include her sons Steve Smith of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Dale Smith (Karen) of Mabelvale; daughter, Diane Smith-Harp (Charles) of Sheridan; granddaughters, Eve Smith (Christian) of Christiana, Tennessee, Christina Martin (Michael) of Columbus, Ohio, and Camille Rowe (Kenny) of Sheridan; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday April 20, 2021, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Calvin Holmes officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. A private graveside service for the family will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
