Wilma McClain Thompson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 27, 1933 in Hannibal, Missouri the daughter of the late Robert T. and Allie Dora White McClain. She was a member of Sheridan First United Methodist Church and had retired as Director of Sheridan School Food Service for over 24 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Curves, the Garden Club, and Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority of UCA. She had a strong love for her garden, flowers, faith and her friends. Anyone that knew her, knew she had a strong faith. She was a ray of sunshine to all that knew her.
Ms Thompson passed away and went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 88.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 siblings and her husband Frank Farris Thompson.
Survivors: sons, Tommy (Debbie) Thompson of Pittsburgh, Pa, Mark Thompson of Little Rock; daughter Karen Rutherford of Sheridan; brother Jimmy McClain of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Kyle (Frankie) Rutherford, Kristopher (Shannon) Rutherford, Sam (Ivette) Thompson, Daniel Thompson; 4 great grandchildren Reese, Hadley, Jaxton, Jonah, and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Alzheimers Association.
