Wilton Harrison Davenport of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 18, 1922 in Sheridan, the son of the late William Harrison Davenport and Essie Pearl Barnes Davenport. He was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church, had retired as a forester for International Paper, and had served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Davenport died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Crown Point Assisted Living at the age of 90.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marianna Walker Davenport and sister, Maxine Damron, brothers, Eldred Davenport, Cecil Davenport and two half brothers, Carthel Davenport and Paul Davenport.

Brothers, Billy Ray Davenport of Shreveport, Louisiana and Kenneth Davenport of Sheridan; sister, Sue McCoy of Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lost Creek cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday prior to the service from 9:00 until service time.
