Winford Ray Harrel, of Little Rock, Arkansas was born on February 24, 1918 in Wesson, Mississippi, the son of the late John and Mamie Montgomery Harrel. He died on March 11, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant, Arkansas at the age of 98 years.

He was a member of Ironton Baptist Church in Little Rock, the Iron Springs Masonic Lodge #342, and was a WW-II Navy Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Louise Westlake Harrel, and sisters, Virgie Hayes and Helen Strickland.

He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Elaine Harrel Carey of Little Rock; two granddaughters, Alana Ann Carey McGinness and husband, John of Benton, and Susan Elaine Carey Walls of Little Rock, and two great granddaughters, Brooke Ann McGinness and Courtney Elaine Walls. He is also survived by a brother William Cecil Harrel wife, Evelyn of Mabelvale, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Ironton Baptist Church with Dr. Sydney Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Ironton Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 PM to 4 PM at the funeral home on Saturday.
